hi all, just bought my first subaru impreza , its only a baby one 2.0 r sport. but its a better move from my 1.8 astra sri. hope you agree,

i have a question to i hope you can help me with? i am wanting to change my head unit to my jvc kd-avx1, but the hole is to small in my dash. do i get a fascia plate to change my dash look, or am i out of luck?

i have mounted the main unit in the dash with the screws but the headunit pop off face wont fit on.

if so where do i get it from?

 

I put a kd-avx2 in my WRX but had to do some trimming of the pocket below and the brackets.

that is fantastic, i was about to post my unit on e-bay tonight as well, thankyou so much. can i ask why was parts of the bracket bent forward? and what was trimed on the black pocket?

 

The metal was bent because the plastic where it was screwed to had bits sticking out. When I moved the bracket down, this fouled where it fitted.

I had to trim the 'lip' off the top & bottom edge of the pocket so it could be moved down about 5mm... then the front panel would fit OK.
