I am trying to remove the dashboard cup holder from my MY99 turbo.

I have pulled the holder out, removed the 2 screws but it seems to be still connected to something. Is there a clip or another screw somewhere? Or should I just pull harder?

The cup holder is coming out to hide something else in the same place:-)

BTW, the cup holder is held in by 3 screws, and is a bloody nightmare to take out if you only see two of them...

I'm thinking of installing my Geodesy in the cup holder slot so I'm interested in how you remove it.

Before I attempt it, please could you explain where this hard to see "third screw" is located ??

There's a 3rd one, and you'll have to remove (almost) the entire panel to get to it.
It's a major pain...I have my Link tuning module on an angled mount there....

the third screw is underneath the holder, and in the centre. if you slide the holder out, the screw should be visible? Anyway, the screw sits in a metal sprung clip, which sits in the dash.

When I took the holder out, this clip sprung out, and then something jammed. So I had to gently lever the dash slightly (5mm) to get the holder out - took bloody ages to do without breaking anything.

J, my holder replacement will be link related also.
