Smile Mods completed to my Scoob!

Hey guys and girls,

Think I have reached the end in modding my Bugeye. Im happy with the results and I cant see much else I'd like to do without going OTT. I prefer subtle mods rather than all out body kits and all that. (Maybe a bigger bonnet scoop in the new year to finish it off) Whatya think?

From this to this...

At first it was just little things until I got to this where I changed the front end mostly with an STI front grille and HTA bumper skirt.

After that I added the fog light covers, silver side skirts and new wheels / tyres. 18" Gunmetal Inovit Tarmacs with Rota centre caps and genuine Prodrive caps put on. 225/40 Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres. Sure beats paying over a grand for those Prodrive prices.

I have considered an STI rear spoiler but I honestly think I prefer the WRX and also lowering springs but from experience with lowering my previous car and fitting bigger wheels I always had rubbing issues so I doubt I'll change them either.

(previous mod thread - https://www.scoobynet.com/members-ga...-standard.html )

Thanks for looking.

Sc101.

Big improvement mate looks nice. Personally I dont think it needs lowering, or new alloys. However, an STi spoiler wouldnt go amiss, I do like the spoilers and think that finishes off a car.

The thing that makes the biggest difference there, is getting rid of the orange bits! Makes it look completely different, and improved

Very tidy looking. I do like those alloys, and the debadged back is the way to go...

Looking good Sc101. You shouldn't have any problems with rubbing if you fancy lowering on your 18s. I've had no bother at all with mine.
I think the bugeye STI scoop would be an improvement. The blobeye one is OTT on a bugeye IMHO.
If you don't mind me asking, where did you get your STI headlights and what did you pay for them?
Also, did you chop some STI decals for your fog covers to get the Subaru Technica bit?

Looks great.

Also interested to know where you got the STi headlights from?

Personally I would lower it. Get's rid of that 'up on stilts' look and you will appreciate the improved handling. You won't have any rubbing issues either provided you use one of the quality kits that lower by a sensible margin.

Nice car.

Nice car.
Thanks for the comments guys. The STi lights are from a Subaru dealership but to get them to fit on a WRX you will need a set of wiring looms that you can create yourself - there are various how-to guides on the forum - or head over to Chaio Fang Imports - To Your Door From Around the World for a ready made set that truely are Plug and Play. Hope that helps.

The STi lights are £230 inc VAT each. Pretty pricey but look the biz. As for the decals on the foglight covers, I got the covers from japanparts.com which come ready painted and also with the big pink STI logo which I removed. I know STI stands for Subaru Technica Int. so they mean the same thing on my WRX but they would of looked too plain so I left the black text.

Any other Silver Bugeye owners on here? Post your pics, I wanna see!
