Depends on what you want. I have just purchased a logitech G25 kit and a copule of games to go with it.

If you want to improve your skill and learn the real way to race, then Richard Burns Rally is the best out there (but is very difficult to play and can get frustrating at first).

If you want to race on the nurburgring, then you can try Gran Tourismo 4, however after a while it can get boring.

I believe that the x-box is better (but I have a ps2), however you cannot use the G25 on the x-box and the G25 is simply the best experience you can get for a racing game.

The other rally games such as WRC are fun to play but not realistic IMO.

Another vote Richard Burns Rally, like Scooter said it`s hard at first but worth putting the time in to master. WRC4 would be next on my list, easier and more fun.

Richard burns Rally on the PC is tough as you like. Very unforgiving if you leave the road, but like the other guys say if u stick @ it then it's a great game.

If your after a more fun based game with good driving dynamics then i love Colin Mcrae 4, nothing better than playing against other people online in other parts of the world, amazing how quiccly a few hours go.

I was gonna host a Scoobynet race, might be worth seeing who plays it and having a race off online

I do have Richard Burns Rally on both PC and Xbox, but only have a steering wheel on the pc, Logitech Momo

but I need a new squash ball to replace the old one, as I took the spring out originally on the brake pedal and replaced it with a squash ball to get progressive braking

the problem with it currently is that it leaves the brake on slighty so i cant complete the lessons properly

Xbox is too hard with the controller I have for it, but it does look good on the projector

just didnt know if there was anything new that was coming out, or been out recently

Yeah there is, it's lookin superb at the moment, i'd prefer it on PC as i've also got a steering wheel and pedals on the PC. PS3 controllers just won't be the same

If you get a logitech G25, then it works on both the PS2 and PC using the USB connectors.

I can vouch for this steering wheel, it is currently the best one available.

Cool G25 & RBR

Another vote for both, G25 is absolutely gobsmacking, and once I'd got my head around using the gearlever as the handbrake, fantastic!

Do you left foot brake? I do and managed 7:30 around the nurburgring in the impreza. If I don't left foot brake, I can only manage 8 mins. Crazy.

....and it's even quicker if you use the Scandanavian flick.

That doesn't work on Gran Tourismo ( a great disappointment). Works a treat on Richard Burns Rally though.

Funny thing though, I still can't do this properley in my own impreza. At first I usually almost go through the windscreen. I want to be able to left foot brake all the time on the way to work, but with all the starting and stopping its impossible.

CMc DIRT. It's not until Oct/Dec 2007 IIRC.

There does seem to be a lack of decent driving games. I sold the X360 after seeing the release schedule. Nothing.

Want a PS3 with WRC title, CMc, GT or similar. Guess wii boxing will do until then

Xbox: Rallisport Challenge 2

The control of cars is excellent, can really balance the car and you even feel like you're drifting/sliding. Super fast too. Not quite as good as the CM series though i felt.

Race:WTCC is a cracking game, from the same people that have done GTR, GTR2, GT:Legends.
For rallying though, there's only one game as others have said, RBR.
I would happily pay for addon packs for that game. How I long for the length of the stages of Mobile1 Rally Championship 2000 but running on the RBR game engine/physics!
