Hello folks,

not posted on here for approx 18 millenia. ;)

Just got an MY06 wagon to replace the previous family car ~ SEAT Leon. For std-fit ICE the Leon was excellent, and the Scoob is a huge step down.

Looking for some recommendations for replacement speakers (which I suspect are the culprit (?)).

Don't want to cut anything, or have to mess about too much (simply as I can't be 4rsed messing around ~ we have a 944S2 for that  ). Aim is for significant bass improvements and added clarity. Lets say a budget of £100 to cover front and rear to give you an target.

Any suggestions?

(And is the door card easy to remove on the MY06? )

Thankyou! :)

Try the head unit first, I've just changed the one in my MY05 wagon.

info in the faq too I guess; there's not much difference between the 05 and 06 ice-wise afaik

I wouldn't worry too much about the rear 'speakers, but I don't really know what you can do for a ton unless you look second-hand. Both the 'speakers and hu are duff I'm afraid...

Hmmm :(

I'd really like to keep the HU standard.

You don't think I'd notice any significant improvement from something like these (http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=3145&cadid=acd1a0a9a125ff0ad6f0b7cc833ab10d)? (just as an example)

Both the H/U and the speakers need upgrading IMHO.

Kenwood do some decent double DIN heads which will fit straight in.
