on my my99, at night when digging out a CD at the traffic light, I see no light in the glove compartment when I open it - is this normal? Or had my bulb gone?

It's normal, (no light in there). I have a mini Maglight which fits nicely into the carrier for the flare in my passenger foot well. :D

you would have thought there would be one, with the amount of money we all paid for the car in the first place.

and how bright is the light in the boot. they could have put some of that in the glove box.

i never knew there was a boot light! Does it come on with the ignition?

My P1 has a light in the glovebox ;)

So does mine :)

Now we know what we paid all that extra money for ;);)

My P1 has two lights in the glove box. One standard and the other is a torch.
