Any info greatly received regarding paint, interior (leather etc) and engine bay.

I hope to post some pics soon, so you guys can see what needs doing.

PB - you had any personal experience with older cars?

Not a lot... most of my cars have been newer, but I have done the odd old Jag or two. On any car this age I would start with a full paint inpection, including depth readings, in order to ascertain how much paint there is to play with. I would also proceed cautiously when polishing, making sure I started with a none abrasive polish like Prime of the paint was seemingly good condition, or a finishing polish like Final Polish II if swirls were evident. The interior would get the normal suspects, although I would limit any wet and dry action to a bare minimum, and the leather would probably get a treatment with Poorboy's Leather Stuff. I'd probably dry clean the engine with P21S, simply because older engines are typically much less robust than modern engines which can be wet washed very safely. I have a new range of Blackfire metal polishes coming out soon which would probably get good use! Best thing to do is get some decent pics up, and we can go from there based on what we see.

you could say... the invicta was a barn find.... been sat since early 40's... a quick rewire and the thing started... on its first trip out the engine Sh*t itself and is still being rebuilt ( destruction was in october). the sunbeam is in september's bonhams auction @ goodwood and the C-type WONT be going anywhere he enjoys it TOO much...
