If you feel that the cost out weighs the pleasure, then buy one.

229 lb.ft @ 1900 and a whole 130 Bhp with a combined cycle of 52.3mpg and only insurance group 9. But no flat 4 no burble and its a Skoda . Need to buy a winning lotto ticket i think! Plus i got to move out of home and get my own place so the Skoda apeals for that reason - cheap frills and cheap insurance as im not going to be able to live in a nice post code as o do now!

As mentioned over on Amita, I spend a sizeable chunk of my tiny wages on my Scoob.

And I wouldn't have it any other way!!

That is a good point i spent well over £1000 on servicing and repairing it over the last two years.

Smile

your crazy if you get rid - just carry on enjoying the scoob you only live once. I spend most of my scoob ownership at the shell station - who cares, dont see why people buy the car then moan about MPG

cough - good job I dont do many miles or mine would be up for sale

Do not have a car that gives you sleepless nights - thats my opinion.

At the end of the day, you can always come back if you find you cannot live without one.

Missy_C had Skodas (Skodai?) and she was pleased with them. Obviously, she was never allowed back on a SMACS meet but life is not always fair.

Yes - thats actually buying said cars - but you've not spent 4.5k on repairs and modding them.

And at least youve reached the pinnacle of Subaru ownership - The Sti

Funny you should say that about mods as Leanne and myself are planning to do some mods towards the end of the year.
And unless someone didn't tell me that my car was an STI I'm sure it's only a humble WRX as was the last car.
Dai your spot on again my mate "here we go again" who Care's?? Well we don't could of got one (STI) if i wanted just wanted an "Impreza".

Just drove throught the airport tunnel's with windows down both tunnels done from a standing start Boy does it sound well!!!! So easily swayed into keeping the Scooby - for now!!! Having said that if worse comes to worse when i move out and i can't afford to run it i can allways come back to scoobies in a couple of years with an STi!!

Sod all wrong with a Skoda! I owned one years ago and did 100k in it and it cost me bugger all.

Bugger all to buy!
Bugger all to service - as it only got serviced every 20k!
and bugger all when I sold it

Mind you this was in the days that you could buy 2 star petrol!!
