Hi,

Finished teaching four months ago and I am on the verge of swapping my diesel Ford Focus for a humble 02 WRX Wagon PPP.:luxhello:

Boy am I having a job getting a decent quote: Anyone interested?

Me: 32, Qualified Adi with IAM Advanced Driving Qual. Even though I don't teach without getting on my high horse I want some premium reduction recognition of my driving qualifications...:thumb:
Driving 15 years, NO acc/conv...but apparently this translates to limited NCB as I was an AA driving school instructor for 3 years leasing a Focus  ..I have my own now..
Car: £9k, driveway, cat1, tracker...

Need to beat Aplan first quote of £889.00

Hope someone can help..

Hi - I assume that AA have been able to certify 3 years claim free driving and assuming that you have some NCD from the time before you worked for AA imagine that you have equivalent of 4 or 5 years NCD.

Suggest you try the following

Sky Insurance - ask for Jae
Peart Insurance
Warwick Davies
Adrian Flux
Insurance Factory
Quotea
AA !

Most insurance companies like you to have experience in driving performance cars before they even think about giving you a competitive quote, no matter how many years no claims you have or how many years driving experience you have got.
Twelve months ago i went from a Pug 206 Gti 180 to a WRX PPP and my insurers at the time (Adrian Flux) refused to insure me.
And i am 45 yrs old with full no claims!

one of the guys i spoke to at adrian flux only a couple of months ago said they were stopping insuring drivers on scooby's as to many people find the power too much, drive round a wet corner and stack it!!!!!

Their words not mine

I'm with Zurich and i'm 30 with 3 yrs NCB
