S4 is gonna be replaced in a couple years anyway.

 

Isn.t the whole A4 range being replaced soon? If so what will happen to the RS4?

 

All depends if you want to drive quickly, or VERY quickly.

My old man has a new RS4 and no way would you think "Hm, nice, but I wish I'd just got the S4"

If you haven't got the extra 12k, the S4 is a damn fine car, but if you have get the RS4. After all, its only money.

 

A4 replacement in 2 years S4 replacement in 3 years and RS4 could be replaced in either3.5 years or 5 years time. All depends on how it fits in with the rest of the range. Audi A5 out next year. RS5 is ment to be out a couple months after. Brand new chassis and its the one I would be waiting for now.

 

I think it is worth it, especially if you look at the residuals now on the current B7 RS4's (and the residuals on the B5 Avant's), they are selling for 10k above list on dealers forecourts!

Also the engine is far far better.

Ive seen one sold for 5k used above the list price.

I nearly forgot 60k will buy you an audi R8 entry level with 450hp out of the RS4's engine.

Fontains have sold one at 60k and have another arriving v soon which has already gone.

Dealers are kncking their demo cars out above list which imo is very naughty.

There are two models, the Gallardo's 5.0-litre V10, giving 450bhp, as well as the 420bhp V8 found in the RS4.

But the aluminium body should keep the weight down

I doubt they will give it a 450hp V10 when theres the 420hp V8 available. It would be pointless as overall the V8 would be the better engine and choice.
