try putting A/C on when you have hot air coming out. This should de humidify tha air, perhaps you have water in the vents!!

Hi All
Having big problems trying to de-miet the windscreen. Only when i put A/c on cold does it seem to clear.When i put the heater onto anything but cold, i get lots of smoke firing out of the vents and steams the whole car up in seconds.It is like being in a Nightclub with all the dry ice! Had the A/c re gassed two weeks ago but still it happens. Any ideas?

shagged heater matrix? had same symptoms on my old audi.

 

Do you have the air input slider on recycle?

 

Also...

Check that you're not on recirc without the air-con on - both scoob & vectra steam up under that circumstance...

I also find that if you start to use air-con to demist the car, then you will be constantly doing it. Sometimes its better to give it a complete Max Fan Max Heat with a window open to get water vapour out the system...

mine clears eventually, but the vents don't seem to be spread out along the dash very good and it clears unevenly!
my rear window is the worst, very bad steam ups to the point of nearly water drops -lets on the back glass.
it will get worse over winter.

 

Still have lots of smoke coming out the vents when on hot. Seem to be losing a bit of water aswell so possibly heat matrix shagged. It is not on recirculate and does not steam up on cold A/c.
Going in to Tilley's on Monday to try and sort it.

Fosters is right....heater matrix.
Had that problem on old R21 turbo, looked like a sauna.....
