what route u thinking of?

Heres one I know...to blair, then braemar, over to ballater, B976, B974, Fettercairn, B966 to Brechin and then Forfar, then road towards Coupar Angus (A94), but turning off Left at Glamis to another lovely windy road... cant remember after that... some backroads towards D'Dee.

but theres lots... we are spoilt for choice me thinks

Bloody typical, yet again I'm going to miss out cause I'll be offshore
Will I ever going to get to one of these run's?
Never mind, maybe next time.

ScoSaltire's suggestion of Blair up to Braemar and back over Cairn O'Mount to Fettercairn is a blinder.

Hope the day goes well.

SCO

Would be quite good to do the run in the evening, roads would be quieter too.
What time does the GP finish??

usually starts at 1pm.
race no longer than 2 hours.

but.... i have a niggling feeling that it may be different because its the British GP.

im trying to find out.

Agreed that the run would be good in the evening... also cooler... so denser air... more umph

folks were up north at the weekend... came back past the Lecht... said it was a great road... its the first road to close in winter... twisty and big drop down one side.

may be too far though... A939 i think.. from Balmoral.
could go up it, and back down, and continue as before.

I've already posted up the meet details on my groups, so better stick to the original plan of meeting in Dundee @ 11 am.

Dont want to miss the GP so I'll be sure to set my video.

I'll try out that road you suggested... sounds like fun

Dave

After the last one went I've been running a standard airbox & filter. The MAF was contaminated with oil from the last engine failure, back-pressure through the breathers etc.

Thanks to all those that turned up for the meet.Judging by the cheesy grins , I would say everyone enjoyed the route.

Was certainly an intense drive today, we managed to keep the pace up despite the weather.Although it suited my dodgy tyres better on the dry roads, had a few scary moments on the wet twisties

We are gonna do this route again soon, but in the opposite direction this time, and later in the day to avoid the traffic

Cheers

Sam

Sorry you missed the run. Did you get the mail I sent you?

I'm planning to do the same run again but in the opposite direction & possibly in the evening to avoid the traffic. I'll be posting up a date soon, so keep your eye on the forums.

Did anyone else end up with a sand blasted windscreen after Broon's Tour of the Highlands?
My screen is covered in tiny wee chips looks like frosted glass
Have to stay away from the back of those slow cars that were setting the pace
