GRAND RE-OPENING OF KAMES SPRINT TRACK WITH JIMMY MCCRAE OPENING ETC.

GET A CHANCE TO SEE THE TRACK READY FOR THE SIDC DAY ON 5/8/01

 

As George has posted. Kames is being re-opened tomorrow at lunch time by Jimmy McRae. He will be out on track in his Porsche 911 Rally Car. Alister is also intending to attend and we heard today Colin is coming in his Grp 4 Escort. (Un confirmed). Tomorrow is the first time the track will ever be run competatively in the reverse direction.
If you want to go along:
From Glasgow go down the M74, off at Junction 11. Follow Signes for A70 / Ayr. Go through Douglas, then Glespin. Muirkirk is next. Turn Left at the Couch House Pub.
Follow (bumpy) road to Kames.
From the South as before except J12.
From Ayrshire --- you should now where it is already.

How did you finish as we left early ?

 

Hi George, yes that was me. You should have come and said hello. I had a good weekend class 1C and 1D were merged to make a bigger class on both days. I managed to win the class both days, by 0.02 on Saturday on 96.82, far better margin when the track was reversed 1.11 on 86.43.
(And I didn't bend it so my wife is still talking to me)
