Default Young Driver (21) Insurance ???

I have not long turned 21 and I am looking for an insurance company who will at least give me a quote on a classic Scooby WRX. My insurance is up for renewal next month so I will have to change since my insurance company wont insure me until I am 23 or 25 on an import. And I have money just now to buy a car, just not prepared to wait another 2 years to get a car. I have tried Greenlight and a few others. Looking for the cheapest company. *Also tried confused.com I am prepared to pay a good few £000 for insurance it is just hard to find someone who will actually insure me. Any ideas ? Got 1 years NCB. Driving 3 years.

im 21 mate moved from my mums policy into my own on saturday there for my new wheels 02 plate wrx, struggled badly on the quotes due to the no claims mainly, best i cud do was £1800 with elephant fully comp mods covered, but i think it would be harder again for the import, maybe need to keep with a uk turbo, i have a clifford intelli start alarm and life time subscribed tracker but elephant wernt intersted in any of that

I'm in the same boat, looking at getting a MY00 UK Turbo.

Used to be with Bell (Admiral Group) - they're not the most helpfull co in the world, wouldn't use them again!

Via confused.com www.screentrade.co.uk have been giving me quotes of around £1600 FC.

Also, visit www.insuresupermarket.com - I've managed to get a quote with Express Insurance.

Around £1450 for when I'm 21 or £1675 for my current age of 20.

Tried Keith Micheals, no good.

Bell and Elephant were over 2k for me.

Lets see what they charge me this year then.. Last year on T Plate UK TURBO they charged me around the £1600 mark that was with 5 yrs no claims and me being 23..

Fingers crossed this year if they're quoting you that for yours, they might offer me something sensible for a renewal with them, if not the cars gonna have to go

to be honest it may be down to the age of the car, ive often found newer cars have been cheaper to insure than older versions of performace cars, becasue older models tend to be owned by people who care less for them as they cheaper and so more likely to be spanked and crashed

Not my veiws u understand, but what insurance companies seem to believe!

its hurt my wallet in the past, becasue this is the first newish car ive been able to afford, so fingers crossed for you mate, tho ring around and hopefully youl get a deal so you can keep the motor
