On the 6th May is one of the big Crail Days of the Year. Max Power Mag (ok....stop laughing!!???) Max power Ladies (thought that would grab your attention!!) and a lot of related tuning companies will be showing their wares...

The Scottish section of the Lancer club will be coming along, if I can get as many people organised in time. That'll probably mean three of us!!

Dave Brown will be leading a convoy from the North and I'll be arranging to meet the southern'rs at the MacD's (Forth Bridge)...well it wouldn't be a meet, without meeting there would it??

So who is up for some clutch burning, lady watching, burger eating...oh, and it'll probably snow!!!

The northern lot are meeting at McD's in Perth around 10am.Then a wee blast down the M90 to meet the southern lot at Granada Services, Kinross around 11am.

I have planned a nice backroad route to Crail...details on the day.

What is the format for this event?
From what I gather it sounds like "drag" racing?
I am trying to decide wether to go to Crail or Aberdeen.

Jamie, your correct, the main event is the timed quarter mile track, along with a drift oval for sliding sidey-ways.
There is always a good selection of cars on show from Novas to Skylines.

It's not everyones cup of tea' but it is good fun if you get involved.

I reckon the grass parking area & the strip entrance bit will be chokka. How about between the tyre chicane & the toilet blocks, plenty room there for a big line up of cars. Or the wee bit of runway behind the toilet blocks (where you had your gearbox mishap)? There should be about 20 cars but maybe more, we'll give you a phone when we leave Kinross & let you know how many.

Only thing is if we ave a space up @ the bogs we`re tyres`ll end up monster mudded an useless for on the strip unless ****** got the bit @ the side of the strip open for gettin down... Hey if we park up there I can have a good look 4 the bits of my old gearbox that were never found
