Depends on the discs, some have stickers on telling which side to fit them.
Usually does not matter about the grooves but how the veins are in the vents between the braking surfaces.

You'll see cars with the grooves sweeping out and some sweeping in depending on the manufacturer.

Agreed it's the curved vanes in the middle that are important (if the vanes are curved).

Cheap discs have straight vanes which can go on either way round, in that case which way the cleaning grooves in the face can decide which way round the discs go.

Decent discs have curved vanes which "pump" air through the disc for better cooling, but only if the discs are the right way round. Fit curved vanes the wrong way round and the centrifigal force throwing air out will be fighting the pumping effect of the wrong way round curved vanes trying to pump air inwards. Air flow will be low and discs won't be properly cooled.

So forget the outisde grooves and fit discs based on the curved internal vanes, good description here

a lot of grooved discs appear "wrong" when you see them on the car, but it is the correct method....................

looking at your discs they are Black Diamond or some such and thats definatelty the right set-up...........
