Ok after the last blinding trip here are the next dates, this means we leave on Friday, spend Saturday and Sunday on track and return either on Sunday night or Monday.

Please post here if interested as most of the same crowd are coming from the last one http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Our friendly Bar man Stef will be at hand to share out the Tequila's http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

I am well up for that if I can get the cash together. How much is the projected cost if you include everything? When I say everything I mean;
petrol
chunnel ticket
5 or so laps
beer money http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif
Place to stay for the nights.
For reference, the cossie will do about 240-250 to the tank (60 litres)
How much did the previous trip cost?
also what is the wear & tear to your motor?
astraboy.
P.S. My friend in his 350 bhp 4x4 saff may be interested. Is it alright if he comes along as well?

Sounds like a plan to me at the moment, probably need to fully confirm nearer the time.

Not sure if I'll be driving or trying to blag another lift over (depends on what happens with my lease car).

IF...my parents have headed back to Sydney by the 29th then I'll definitely be there. If not ( http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif ) the other guys should be heading up anyway, and I'll have to wait until the September trip.

Count me in (with a Dutch friend)- I will need to confirm closer to the date. I will fly into Bonn Sat morning and hire an Audi TT from there (I think). I intend to fly back Sun night. Im definately taking the hire car route this time. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif Harj was offered a TT for less than £40 a day. If anyone is interested maybe we can meet in Bonn and hire the cars together.

Just try and stop me. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Is anyone taking any bikes.
MattOZ what about you? Instead of bringing your tractor? http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

MattOz
23 April 2001, 11:12
Aero you cheeky cnut!! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

Depends on who wants to come really, but if people need lifts, I'll take the Taxi! If not, then I'll take the bike. Simple really.

Would be more than willing to have a couple of Bods on board though, as this keeps the travelling costs down! What a tight arse! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

Right here is an outline to costs:

Fuel to and From Dover £#
Ferry or Channel Crossing £150 for this trip
Fuel to Nurburg @ 295 Miles for a Scoob is around 1.5 tanks which in Euro Fuel Prices around £80
Hotel is around £30-40 per night depending on single or double
Food is around £15 perday
Beer and Tequila more importantly is around £15 per night of unlike some of us £30 http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif
Fuel in Germany is around 1/3 cheaper than the UK I think, can't remember I was using Diesel power http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif
1 Lap around the Ring is £7, most people buy a 12 lapper around £75 and that will last you more than a day if you’re a 1st timer.
Ring Memorabilia is around £30 if you want some
Travel Insurance is around £20-40
Breakdown Cover is around £20 for trip
Greencard is a must for travelling in Europe and some insurers charge around £15 for one
Please Please don't bring Travellers Cheques, cash is the main thing or credit cards
Extra Curricular activities such as Go Karting are fairly cheap £10-15 for a good laugh.

You also need to be a major Beef or Pork eater to enjoy the local cuisine http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

Those who are definite for coming please email me and I will book the rooms at the hotel, I was thinking about Eurotunnel this time as its the same price as Seacat. Opinions please???

Closer to the time a full list of attendees will be published, the above is off the top of my head and im sure there a couple of things I may have forgotten.

Remember the Pub doesn't close until its last man standing and they love us http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

Hope this helps

Harj...
