Just bought set of these off Ebay and not sure if ballast is built into headlight or is it totally separate. Anyone know how to wire these up?

 

The ballast is a box about the size of a pack of playing cards connected to the blub bit by a thick, pencil diameter cable.. It will be very obvious if it's fitted or not. On OEM they're often just clipped onto the back of the housing, very obvious.
