I am have just completed the installation of a Labtronics intelligent I/C water spray and only now need to tie in to a 12v supply.
Is the blanked out fuse No 3 ok for this application ?

Had one of these installed for the last month. Seems to operate pretty well. Seems to switch on at sensible times and duration etc.

One thing to watch out for is not to have the temp setting too sensitive. Too sensitive gives good early switching for those short sprints but for a long hard burst the spray ends up staying on for a long time.

Comparing to my previous temperature - TPS - timer delay controller its more intelligent. Gives better water conservation and turns on at the correct times.

Another point to be aware of. The diagnostic temp LEDs seem to go out for temps below 10c for ambient sensor and around 13c for the intercooler temp sensor. Don't think it effect operation though.

It will simply aid cooling the intake temp on warm days by automatically controlling when to activate the i'c spray using several temp sensors. When the two combined signals reach a certain level the spray is turned on.
More useful in warmer climates (like Aus!) but sure won't hurt over here in the summer.

as per stef's comments it cools the intake temp, which is good for track days/ warm days. also it should be useful if you are running higher boost in your car without changing to a bigger turbo ( like myself running 18psi from the TD04L standard turbo ) . more boost= hotter air= bad for you car. subaru's have got a small intercooler in the wrong place. so something like water spray ( which is relativly cheap compared to a new IC ) will help a little.

System up and almost running.
Have not been successful in calibrating the unit yet.
TEMP on but FANG still has not activated - So pump not switched on.
Can anybody tell me what FANG represents?
