I'm about to replace my MY99 with a new one. I *think* I've decided to have one of the last of the old, rather than one of the first of the new.

I want some Prodrive OZ anthracite wheels - these are a dealer option in Switzerland in 17".

Question is, should I buy them here new - or have any UK dealers got 2nd hand items from P1 owners upgrading to 18"?

Anyone in the UK purchased wheels this way and how much were they?

Many Thanks
Richard

Richard,

there are very few sets of OZ 17 inch alloys from the P1 available. Only a small batch of 18 inch alloys have been delivered to the dealers yet, so more sets of the 17 inch ones may become available over the next few months.

The 17 inch wheels aren't available in the UK, unless you have a P1, and even then, they are very expesnive at some £250 each, without tyres. This explains why the few sets being sold privately are beind sold for more than £1,000, unless the tyres are very worn!

Hi Richard

with "careful" driving (my dad writes down when he changes the S02 ) the last set lasted 6.5k! Because I have to be careful to the pads (he writes that down as well after I've destroyed the first set of ferodos after 4.5K) the cornering speeds went up . So now I'll try 36PSI the get a better wear pattern (bold shoulders).
So to make a long story short the money I saved on the wheels have already been spent on tyres (what a trade off!!!!!!)

See ya
Mike

In Holland you can buy/order the OZ-P1-Prodrive wheel at the Subaru-dealer;
it's about 650-675 guilders (plm 180 pounds) a wheel.
With S02pp's I payed in july, total package, fl 3900,- (plm 1050 pounds).
