Dash warning lights dim and glow with the indicators on

Dash warning lights dim and glow with the indicators on
When the engine is off and I put the indicators on - The dash warning lights dim and glow in time with the indicators. The battery is not flat and it has plenty of power to start the engine.
Any ideas?
PS The car is a 93WRX Classic
