Dear fellow scooby drivers, on all your advice rang A-Plan for my UK Sti including PPP. Spoke to a chap called Rob on 01635 874646 who not only knew his stuff about cars also seemed a top bloke too. He tells me he is becoming a fellow Scooby owner next week.
Paid him £929 having received L&V price of £1153.:)

My only concern is that I have never heard of them, does anyone know what their claims service is like???

I have just switched to them from Privilege, my renewal with privilege was 1261.05
that was without any of the mods stated as privilege wanted
209 quid per year for my rear wing :eek2: :eek2:

Aplan are superb with their knowledge of the car and the mods :thumb: :thumb:

Cmae back with a quote of 1060 with all my mods stated :D :D

I requested a qoute from them a few days ago using their online form but haven't heard anything back from them, guess they're doing so well my business isn't important to them. Ho hum.

Before you start with them, just make sure that if you have to cancel for some reason they disclose how much you will have to pay.

They have just sorted this out for me but there was confusion on the way (from them).

swopping cars will not be a problem iirc. 1 thing to check is that if you go from a high performace, high insurance car to a 1.1 runabout some insurers have minimum value policys (ie £500) so you might not get back all of the policy difference.
