i have a 96 impreza 2.2l and i have a tight budget and HATE my bodyroll i was wondering u can ride stock struts with springs.

yes, Eibach springs is a common upgrade.
£145 +vat

but if it's just body roll you want to combat, then a set of uprated anti roll bars (arb's) would be a better solution, you then retain the comfort of standard spring rates.
For a road car I'd suggest a 22mm rear with alloy rear links.
£100 for the rear 22mm bar and £60 for the links.
But if you really want to stiffen the bodyroll then you should put a 22mm bar on the front and a 24mm on the rear, again with uprated links.

I've just fitted a 22mm rear anti roll bar, as I had the same problem with body roll. Bit of a dilemma for me too as it was either that or lower it. Couldn't afford to have it stiff as my other car is brick hard through lowering.

No roll at all now. Still retains comfort, puts power down superbly. Much better mod than lowering IMO. Feels like I've just bought new suspension!
