Turbo Timers
Technically, yes. Fitting one bypasses operation of your immobiliser, and voids your alarm's thatcham certification, which is needed to be in place and operational for theft insurance to be in place.
Insurance companies have been known to accept turbo timers as declared mods tho, so speak to your company and just go on what they say.
I haven't heard of anyone getting a payout declined because of a turbo timer... But IMHO they're not the best way of cooling a car down anyhow - gentle driving is, as that gives the other bits a chance to breathe too like brakes and discs, etc.
