Not using my MY01 a lot and ran old battery dead a few times, got a new one now (battery that is) but wanted to get a trickle charger like those used on classic cars.
All I can find is one in Argos extra delivering 0.5amps continuously, is that an ok output to be left on continuously? Can be weeks at a time before I use it but dont wanna prematurely kill battery. For first time ever net was useless trying to find what I wanted!
In anticipation thanks!

Hi,
The BEST trickle charger you can buy for a 12v batteries is the Optimate 3.. mainly aimed at the motorcycle market but suit all 12v applications. I use one when i'm not using the scoob much. I also used it when i was laid up for a couple of months being knocked off my bike
.
They are excellent devices and like the label suggests, trickles and maintains your battery.
Pay no more than £40 for one. I picked up a brand new one of E-bay for £30.

Hope this helps
Frank

Have you thought about getting a Charger / Maintainer?

the optimate does it all, charges/recovers/conditions... and has lots of pretty bright lights telling you what its doing. The only thing it doesn't do is increase the bhp on your car
