When my renewal comes round in Feb next year i will be......

24, 5 years ncb, 6 points (sp30, sp60)

I have done a quote online with tesco who im currently insured with and it comes to £1224 fully comp with protected ncb of 5 years. This includes the 10% online discount.
If when my renewal comes through it is more than the amount for a new quote is there anything stopping me not renewing my existing and taking out the new policy online which is quoted above, bearing in mind its with the same company ????

im with them at the minute, and they gave me a further discount for paying in one go, above and beyond the 10% on the site, talked to them once arranged on the net and got a further 15% knocked off

 

I've read about other people doing that on here. Renewal comes through and it's more expensive, so they get a new quote online which is cheaper and take out a new policy! It's something I might be doing as well.

What are Tesco like for mods John?

 

thats exactly what I done last year.

Their renewal was 1200 ish and online I got it for 900 odd.

No problems cancelling and re starting etc.

 

Mine was the other way round, the renewal was cheaper than the online quote!
