Default New WRX Owner

Hi all

Just bought my first WRX last week so just saying hello!!

Might see me around, I'm near swansea with a silver WRX with high spoiler and bodykit on, seen a stickered up red scooby filling up with optimax by jersey marine yesterday - you on here?

Also whats the score with all this talk of fuel and octane booster guys? whats the cheapest alternative to get my car to run safely on 97-98ron so I dont have to use optimax and octane booster all the time?

Best option for UK fuel is a re-map of the ECU mate. Get yourself a de-cat exhaust and then contact Bob Rawle (BRD motorsports) about the ECU map. Or wait for a group buy to come up, there's usually one going on somewhere!!

93 plate but in excellent nick throughout, just stuck my first fillup of optimax in it and it definately feels more torque.

I havent started powersliding it yet but I think I was a bit more used to the 2ltr mk2 escorts for that I think I got to really get in the mid-range to get this thing sliding

(edit) I forgot to mention this also EATS the juice!

I know this makes me sound stupid as hell

But if I want to get this remapped for uk fuel, is it simply a visit to the rolling road, plug it in and hey presto, or do they have to fit an entirely new ecu in and charge me loads of cash!?

you could get a knock link to put your mind at ease ,alot cheaper than remap ,when you read of horror stories on hear of engines going pop it does make you think but its a very low percentage and uk cars have known to go too.
