Default Renewal notice arrived today, time for some Insurance quotes...

My Insurance Renewal came though the letter box this morning and made a dent in the door mat!, They want (TESCO) £1088.82 to insure my 1999 STi, I'm 25 with 7 years NCB

Got afew quotes today...

Firebond £1998

Performance Direct £1150 (the guy on the phone was a complete twonk!)

Esure would not quote (not that you'd wanna be insured by them just because of there anoying adverts!)

Norwich Union £2258, didnt quote me happy

Adrian Flux £980

DirectLine £860

Privilege £722 Result!

Anybody now of any other companies that are fairly good?

Norwich Union were good for me - 27m 6 years NCB £830.

I always go to confused.com first...and work from there.

And why won't esure quote? I was with them for previous car and they wouldn;t quote me to change to Scooby. Having said that, they're the worst insurance company I've had...were useless when I had my accident (Storm damage, tree falling on car while driving.... )

I've had both my impreza's with AXA via A-plan insurance.

Thing to note they charge the same for all Subaru impreza imports.
For my wrx and then when I changed to a Sti2 type R v-ltd 555, they didn't charge me a penny more. They said if its an import and below £10,000 we don't care thay are all loaded the same. Sell your WRX's now

If you need the number I can post it tommorrow (not on me at mo).

Surprised Tesco's, Privilege and Direct line all came out so different, as they use the same underwriters!

Yep, surprised me too!, I've gone with Privilege now as every other place I've tried since say there's no way I'd get insurance on an STi for £722!...

That'll do for this year
