Default Can you mix Goodyear F1 GSD2 and GSD3?

Is it OK to run GSD2's on front end and GSD3's on back end of a Bugeye WRX (215/45/17). Are there any differences in the two types? - would any subtle difference be a problem to the safety and handling of the car? I currently have Goodyear F1's (need to check exactly which variant) on the back and Potenzas on the front - I want to make the car more stable in handling where the front end feels wobbly and drifty at times. I think the Potenzas really are the cause of tramlining but it could be made worse by having the Goodyears on the back which probably behave very differently.

Black Circles web site currently offer GSD2's for sale but I thought these had been phased out.

I had just that on my MY03 (GSD2's on the front & GSD3's on the rear), they're not as lethal a combination as when you have different tyre patterns (like Pirelli / Goodyear mix), but they did give me a little twinge every known again.

I had them on for 4-5K miles though with no major incidents

If you have different manufacturer, brand and tread pattern, that's very bad. If you have same manufacturer and a similar tread, that's not as bad. Best is to have exactly the same brand all round and also similar tread wear/depth.
