Pardon - I am a bit lost by all this? Why rename the thread. Phil Stephens had already started this thread elsewhere.

Sorry.. it could be me that's lost.

It appears to me that Dougster has posted a link to the SIDC's scotland forum. It was entitled SIDC, and no further explanation was given.

I am simply posting another alternative forum.

Regards

Simon

But does the webmaster of a BBS normally post links to other web forums when the thread was named SIDC?

Sorry if I am a bit lost - just never seen thread subjects changed and things added like that before.

it's ok ...

it's a confusing time. It will pass.

I was just assisting those who do not like it here to find other homes, which is what I assumed Dougster was trying to do.

If they don't want to be here, we of course have no right, or desire to try to stop them going

All the best

Simon

Thanks SImon,

People will find other homes because there is a bad atmosphere in here, which is a pity.

Scotland section was normally very good and light hearted. Not today though. Bad feeling all round.

Agreed

The bad atmosphere will also pass, once a few individuals' anger calms down. In the mean time, apologies.

But as I said, we're not going to attempt to convince you to stay.

We're working on solving the problems for you. Some will trust us and support us in return for the countless hours of *work* we have put in on your behalf to try to keep scoobynet running for you.. others will be less patient. That is absolutely fine, and I wish everyone all the best.

in fact...

all the best

I am not asking you to convince me to stay - I never even raised the subject and I am actually here at the moment.

west lothian scooby

How clever. Thanks for your contribution. You must be very proud.

I'm sat up here at getting on for 1:00am when I would rather be spending time with my loved ones. I am doing this to try to support scoobynet and all of you.

Comments like yours make it very difficult to keep up the enthusiasm.

I have to say, if this was my board, I'd be tempted to pull the plug at the level of abuse going on here.....

Hopefully the current webmaster prevents the minority spoiling it for the majority. All getting a bit out of hand.

Agreed. But this kind of thing always happens. It is indeed a shame, but always take strength from the fact that it is a minority rather than a representation of the community that tends to react like this.

All the best

Patience of a saint Simon.

The majority of other forums i frequent would simply ban the insolent/unappreciative lot and bar their IP's.

Whilst I do not agree with what has been happening over the past wee while the childish dispute is pointless and portrays the Scotland forum to be little more than a conservatory built off the back of the muppet house.

Just because someone doesn't often post in the Scotland forum doesn't mean that :

a) they don't read it
b) they don't know the issues
c) they're not interested in the forum itself

Do stop the presumptions.

There is now a definite them and us culture breeding thru' the BBS. The Scottish forum is seen as a joke for simply trying to operate as the majority of it's regular users wish it to be....'a community'.

There is also the culture of others who do not post in the Scottish section dropping in to add their tuppence worth...quite frankly when they know nothing about what the issues are. They are simply here to show solidarity (read: suck up ) to the moderators, or show an, 'I'll hold your jacket, sir" type of bravado. All very good when they are at the the end of a wire.

Due to these fact and individuals who will 'never' change Snet management should look at ending this debate once and for all and shut the doors. It's overdue.
...all a bit self-righteous for someone who's typical post content is (and i have checked):

1) a whinge about the state of the Scotland Forum, or
2) about beer
