Seat Ibiza cupra 16v

this is the other option I am considering a Ibiza cupra years 98 - 99 - looks like the 16v is the only one with performance merit. The 8v performance figures wise look gutless.
They seem to be very difficult to find but can be had for 3 - 3.5k most seem to be private sales but well maintained and have a select fan base.
How would this compare to a Saxo VTS - Im guessing a marginally less performance, but a better build quality and more durability in a stronger shell.
All views most welcome - esp if someone is looking to sell
