MY99 Driving Lights
er, they are round and found at the front of the car !
seriously though - these are fog lights not driving lights surely ?
I think you will find they are not much use as driving lights.
Not much use as foglights either but then that's another story -
look nice though - I had them fitted to my sti as I don't like the blanking plates on sti imports - I did not go for driving lights as I hate having loads of light on full beam and then having to switch to dismal lighting on dipped beam when a car comes the other way - too much of a difference in visibility.
what was your question anyway?

Basically, I have a my99 and would like to upgrade the foglights to driving lights.
I was going to buy some Cibies but then I realised that they would look a little out of place when compared to the existing refractor type headlights on the car. It is for this reason that I would like to know if anybody knows of any driving lights which will 'blend' in.

Rav, there are no driving lights that match the new lights on the Impreza, that we know about.
I have only seen 3 sets of lights fitted to the car, Hella, Cibie and PIAA. I dont think any of them look dreadfully out of place though. BTW I dont know who provides the Hella lights as i have only seen one car with them and that was from New Zealand.

Rav,
Hella have launched a new range of lamps with the new type reflectors, like the MY99 headlamps, called Comet FF. I don't know what sizes they come in, but the Cibies are 180mm, fitting brackets can be bought from Grahame Goode.

Just an observation: The MY99 fog lights are quite adjustable. If you look at the screws that hold them in, 3 are for mounting, whilst the other adjusts the height. As supplied, the lamps point very low, but can be adjusted to the same angle as the dipped beam if required. The beams are very well defined, stretch wide horizontally and are shallow vertically. They do provide nice coverage once this is done.
