View Full Version : Elvington this weekend????? powerman 05 May 2004, 20:36 Is there something on at elvington this weekend, i seemed to recall a posting a while ago for May 8th ...anybody going chrisT.O.T.B. 05 May 2004, 21:14 9th may at york dragway rwyb day, not elvington. 16th may elvington rwyb 31st may elvington scoobyshootout rgds powerman 07 May 2004, 18:12 thanks any directions to york drag way please... alanbell 07 May 2004, 18:21 If you know were Elvington is , Its past there about 4 mile , Alan. chrisT.O.T.B. 07 May 2004, 20:28 yeah follow the b road thro elvington and the next village, follow signs for melbourne as thats where york drag is, usually signposted as well on race days powerman 07 May 2004, 22:15 what time? whats on? how much?thanks and no more questions powerman Mr.Manchester 07 May 2004, 22:54 0-60 and 1/4 mile rwyb, £10 in, last time i went i didnt like it, very run down and poor viewing of the races, id rather pay £6 and go to elvington on the 16th :D alanbell 07 May 2004, 23:01 Agree >> even if Melbourne was £4 , Id still prefer Elvington , cheers , powerman 08 May 2004, 14:52 elvington it is then.... thanks chrisT.O.T.B. 10 May 2004, 22:38 reminder that gates open 8am onwards on sunday at elvington. been told tonight that the entry fee for adults is £7.50, not £6, but the price to compete is £40 all in, ie £7.50 entry and £32.50 to race all day! should be a good turn out sunday, plenty of cars promising to come. powerman 11 May 2004, 18:50 Been before and it was brilliant day out ,worth every penny to see Scott parker attempt to distroy his scooby, are you on ere M8?...powerman mcanny 12 May 2004, 11:08 There is also a large Japanese car meet at the same venue as the RWYB - it's something I'm trying to get off the ground as a northern version of Bolney and other large southern meets - there isn't enough stuff like this in the north IMO so I thought I'd see what I could do to change things :) My aim was to keep a central source of info updated at all times but I'm not sure how many people were aware of this - lesson learnt for the next one :) Most of the info people will need is here (http://www.megaboost.co.uk/vbb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=57) - directions, costs, times etc In summary the gates will be open from 8.30am, racing starts at 10.30am and finishes at 5pm. Spectators welcome (small entry charge unfortunately) and anyone racing will need a helmet - I haven't had an opportunity to arrange specific areas for each club or anything so I'm afraid it might be a little bit freestyle, I'm hoping people will be able to sort themselves out but next time I'll try and get some kind of system in place :) Thanks for all your support and enthusiasm so far, I'm looking forward to a great day out - we should have some interesting cars! If you have any questions please let me know. speedstermick 12 May 2004, 16:37 woz going to go. but clutch packed in again.so need new clutch. mick. ps.dont know wot clutch to get.not going down the ap route again as had 2 problems with it busting release bearings.needs to cope with upto about 280bhp. |
