Default Wiper blade skipping Problem...

Just started driving my 99 uk spec turbo and i've noticed that the wiper blades seem to skip on the windscreen when driving between 40 and 70 mph - this is the kinda thing that is really going to bug me!!! - is this normal or do i need to replace the wiper blades??? if so, any recommendations???

there was a debate about whether to stick with the bosch blades or swap them PIAA's not so long ago - maybe someone can post a link to it.

Here is the original thread. As I commented on the thread - the PIAA silicon wipers are very good, but I didn't find that they lasted that long. I prefer to use good quality Bosch blades and treat the windscreen with RainX - I haven't had problems with them skipping doing this.

Have you tried a wiper spoiler attachment that forces the blade onto the screen at speed ?. Also observe the blade itself as it wipes the screen both at the top and bottom as it does its sweep. the rubber should bend back and forth with each sweep evenly if it doesn't replace it as bladeshave a v.hard life. also stop the blade mid cycle bl switching off power , take off the blade an rest the arm end against the glass. This shouuld be perfectly flat against the glass,if it isnt adjust gently with a screwdriver as this is also a cause of judder.Hope this helps.
