Magnex centre vs P1 standard

Question Magnex centre vs P1 standard

I swapped my standard non-cat centre on my P1 for a Magnex non-resonated one a while ago. Now that I have decatted the front pipe too I am just finding the noise too "droney".

Will I notice a performance difference by going back to a standard part? Is it a different diameter? The car has a full decat and Tek3 and will soon be getting an induction, fuel pump and further remap.

I'd like to know the flow differences between the resonated Magnex and the OE not cat centre too

Although they both have 2.5" pipes, the flow through the P1/STI centre (which doesn't have a cat) is still more restrictive than the Magnex centre section.

Don't worry about the resonated Magnex centre I could still get 334bhp & 284lb/ft There was an increase swapping it out for an HKS Hiper though!

My car has a P1 centre, scoobysport BB and a Magnex Twin Port DP. I find it quite comfortable at cruising speeds with none of the drone there. I've never tried any other set ups apart from standard though.

Just changed my OE non-cat centre section for a Magnex resonated centre and was surprised to find the car felt a lot more responsive but was quieter
