Thumbs up urgent advice required

i have been offered some 17in motor sport wheels with an et38 offset.seller has mailed me a picture of said wheels on a scooby.checked search,most opinions suggest et48/50/52.any sugestions please.

changing the offset of your wheels will have a significant impact on the handling of the car. Whether you consider this impact positive or negative is a matter of personal preference / application, so it's really difficult to advise.

If I was forced into a corner, my advice would be to stick with the standard offset and wheel width spec'd for the car / suspension set-up.
