Having replaced my standard head unit with a Blaupunkt MP72 MP3 head unit and the front speakers with Infinity 605cs component speakers, just wondered what other people have done re the rear speakers?
Have seen some of the 6x9 conversions that people have done (Nathan L et al) but that's more work that what I intend doing. So the question is what sorta 4in (10cm) speakers are a good choice as direct replacements for the rear and are suitably priced too? ;)

Thanks in advance :)

Nick

Did put some 5.25" Pioneers in my back doors (you have to mount them behind the skin, "inside" the door - better than the OEM, but they're never going to be great. I quickly got fed up and put some infinities in my back shelf (simpler to do than the 6*9s, I think). Kept the OEM shelf, just carefully drilled a grille into it, so you'd never know it was there!

Combo that with my Kenwood Dual Mags in the front doors (much better than the 605cs IMHO), and a Phoenix Gold amp (the LA72 is good for a head unit, a decent amp is much better), and I was well away. All with the same headunit as you in an 02WRX.

P.S. Add plenty of dynamat or similar to front doors and anywhere wlse you hav speakers, if you haven't already done so
