Question MY00 map reading lights, bulb replacement?

Can anyone tell me how to replace the bulbs in the map reading lights in a MY00 UK car? Both bulbs have blown within the last week, and I don't want to break anything trying to replace them.

Thanks,

Martin.

you need a screwdriver to prize the plastic cover off - theres a couple of clips on the windscreen side.

Even a cack-handed numptie like me managed to get it off without breaking anything!

bulbs from halfords about £1.50 each. you'll know which when you get them out. 12V 10W festoon if memory serves me right.

before u start buying the bulbs, make sure that they are actually 'blown' !
I had this with mine recently - took bulbs out to check - both were OK - put them back - let there be light!
The bulb holders are just bent pieces of metal - very poor

Thanks Gents,
Looks like I'll be checking the holders first.

Martin.

Yep, a very poor design indeed! Both lights are now working after I pushed the bulbs back in fully.
Thanks,
Martin.
