Default I've heard sound deadening is a must?....

Is this still true on a MY04?

To what extent is required? Roof?

I'm gonna have 2 x 100W amp for decent fronts & a 450W amp powering a 12" sub in the boot

Yup, as above. Definitely outer skin of doors, and inner skins if at all possible.

2,3 or 4 rolls of Dynamat Extreme

Or a Dynamat Extreme door pack?

1 roll will do two doors (inner and out skin on both). the door packs contain small squares so the rolls are better.

Question

When you say inner and outer door skin what do you mean?

Do you take off the door panel and stick it on inside of the outer door skin.

Is the difference noticeable? less road noise or a crisper sound?

Sorry for the dumb questions... I'm new to all this.
