Question

I am getting confusing info from my local suppliers regarding the correct part
number for the hydraulic tappet adjusters. My car is a legacy turbo 16v (not
the 8 valve engine). Does any smart person out there have the correct part
number?
My VIN number is JF1BC5DROBGO27712
I have been give two part nos:
13230AA110 (price £/$16.46 each)
13229AA000 (price £/$39.56 each)
Helpppppp i'm confused (yes and i know it is bound to be the most expensive one)
many thanks in advance

Shimster,

According to our database, the correct part No. for lash adjusters for your engine is.
13230AA110.
These should retail in the UK. for £24.03 ea.

Just to confirm this, the system is telling us that your car should be the following spec:

Model: Legacy Turbo
Year: 1992-1993
Engine Type: EJ20 (16v Turbo)
Body Type: BC5DK8D (Saloon)
Model Code: B10
Transmission Type: Manual, 4WD
Color: 62
Trim Code: 20

Most of this info should be on your Vin. Plate, which is located on the LH inner wing by the strut top mount.

Hope this helps.
Phil

Thanks Phil,
This is a great help.
The one difference is the color is 262 and trim 320.
What is going on with my other local suppliers then? They had all the info you had, two of them came back with the other part no. and one with the part no you recommended. Do the adjusters change at around this year, is there much difference between them? (just for a laugh, the Salisbury agent swears blind that the engine does not have lash adjusters!!!!)
