Just thought i'd let you know that i changed my gearbox oil yesterday for some silkolene, i was surprised with the difference and would recommend the change for everyone, here's a few tips that made the job easier for me: sump nut size 21mm, Rather than expensive siringes i used a piece of garden hose about 8-10" long with a funnel, worked well hope this helps anyone thinking of doing it .Rik

Nick, i got the oil from a local silkolene dealer in Hemel Hempstead his name is John Cartwright on 01442 254187 really helpful bloke, you need 4 litres of silkolene Pro SRG 75, i think it worked out to be about £30 i don't know about postage because i went and collected it, he also does all the silkolene products like Pro S engine oil and diff oil you'll have to ask him over prices, hope this helps if not phone 08701200400 which is the oil refinery and there tell you your nearest dealer. I nearly replaced my gearbox until Scoobysport put some in - what a difference.

It is the only one Prodrive found to be any good in the WRC gearbox I believe.

The heat transfer from engine to gearbox is imense and this is what broke down the original oil and started to cause gear change crunches. I then added a fully synth brand which did help for several months until that again failed. The Silkolene has been in for 10k now without a problem. The car has covered 88K.
