Cool

The first dyno run was made in a cold british February... the second (downpipe one) was made six months later in what we laughingly call the summer. Unless you run a car on the same day you can't be sure to match the atmospheric conditions and so you can't really compare figures that are 6 months apart as the car will perform less well on a hot day than on a cold one.

Downpipes do work, honest!

Hi
Had a before and after with a PE T75 downpipe and center section. I had less low down power 20 lb/ft torque to about 3500 rpm after that slightly more power, But not by much. I could feel the car was not picking up so quick but once it was over the 3500 it would fly.

When I had my MY99, adding a SS backbox and downpipe added just 1 bhp and 5ft/lbs on the Dyno. In real life it felt more like 15 and 15. The car pulled harder from from low to mid range and really harder above 5000rpm.

Dynos do not tell the whole story. I no longer own a Scoob but still think fondly of the sound and performance benifits given me by Pete Croney.
