Question

Got a screw running about somewhere in the front of the car. Can hear it moving left to right under cornering and it sounds like its moving a big distance. It's either behind the dash, around glovebox area, in anti-submarine part of front passanger seat.

Anyone had anything similar ? or have any clues where to look. Its getting bloody annoying now.

My MY00 does not have this feature

Was it original equipment/dealer fit option/aftermarket supplier???

Convinced its under the passanger seat.

Feeling underneath there's a big metal base which it could run around in.

Gonna try and take the seat out this weekend to try and find the bloody thing.

I'm convinced it does it less with a passanger in the car so I might be right.

Cool

I had exactly the same thing under the drivers seat of my MY00 ..AND I FIXED IT !!
Take out the four bolts holding the seat in and shove the seat back towards the back of the car. Now undo the sill plate which holds the carpet down (4 screws under little plastic covers). This gives access under the carpet to the floorpan where there is a box section that the seat bolts to. Now squirt someting sticky (I used thick PVA glue) through one of the holes in the box section.
Reassemble everything and go for a drive round lots of sharp corners before the glue sets. The offending rattly thing will roll into the glue and get stuck, end of problem!!
Not very professional I know but it worked for me. (I'd still love to know what it was though!!)
Hope this helps,
Pete.
