Convoy driving advice
This is just some last minute advice to all those travelling in a convoy to the NBO this weekend.
The maximum number of cars per convoy legally allowed without a police escort is 6, so if there are a large group of you, split up into smaller sub groups. This is a good idea purely from a safety point of view and keeps the whole trip more manageable.
Make sure you all have a map of where you are going, that way if you get dropped off the convoy or held up you don’t have the temptation to drive in a way you normally wouldn’t to catch up, do not rely on being able to follow a leader, go prepared to make it on your own.
Do not get yourself involved in an RTA (obvious I know
), if you do you may face charges for dangerous driving as the Police view being in a convoy and then having an RTA as enough reason to caution you for this offence.
Have a safe journey and keep your speed down for the whole trip, not just when you get close to the venue, there will be “safety cameras” active on all the major highways looking out for you, don’t give them an opportunity to make you poorer.
See you all there; I am going on my own and not in a convoy.

Do you think the plod are monitoring this site,if so what delights do you think they have in store for us ?
As for taking a map, what if you cant make head nor tail of it
Im a bit fick remember,Ive got to follow someone there, and back and thats it, or do you really want to see my photo on the side of a milk carton !
Surely if we behave ourselves they will leave us alone.
Later Yoza(who gets lost in his own house)

agree on wise words but let me assure both the good and bad muggles out there watch this site and they even attend incognito some of the events we do.i already know that those of us going over the tops will have to contend with more than usual levels of monitoring and they know most of the regular routes too.........
oh and you can bet they drive em more often than we do and know the best hiding spots,,, the answer is to use the fone and walky talkies to keep everybody safe.

Plod are monitoring this BBS and all the other major motoring BBS's in the UK, they would be stupid not too.
You have nothing to fear as long as you are sensible.
If you are crap on the maps, write down a basic route with major junctions on it, print out the map listed in the NBO threads and take that with you, if you cant read it someone else will be able to.
It's a very simple route to get to the NBO, if you really are pathetic, drop me an email and i will mail you a route junction by junction from scousland.
