How do I tell what number in a series my car is? There is a code etched on all of the windows, is the number in this code the serial number?

 

LTD editions always have a plaque on the centre console, this has a number on it. for example 167/200 was the number of my cat when i had it ?

Aaah, different story with the P1 its not a limited edition in the same sense of the word. It is limited in the fact they are only doing 1000 this year, but its not an actual limited edition (ie there will be more next year) so as such it wont have a number on it.

My car IS a limited edition (roof vent, rally blue, other stuff) and doesn't have a plaque inside. It does, however, have a run number ("Limited 089/555" IIRC) on the boot under the WRC laurels badge.
