Hi,

Just received my new SPA Oil Temp/Pressure gauge. The gauge comes with all the sender and +12v/ground cables connected to a large 12-pin Molex (is that the right term?) connector.

Now I fitting the gauge into an A-pillar pod and I'd rather have the cables terminated at the bottom of the pillar and a new wiring loom inside the pillar connecting my gauges together. This way I can remove the pod very easily without dismantling each gauge.

I've tried RS, Farnell and Maplin but I can't find the type of connector I'm after.

Does anyone know where I can get more of these (and different sizes)? are they called Molex connectors?

Molex are the manufacturer, is there a reference on the connector shell? if not you may have a lot of searching through their website ahead of you Molex alternatively you could mail them a picture and they might help. If you can get the part no. i may be sort you out with the part.

Yeah, I've been searching around the net and found the Molex website. Looks like RS components do most of the Molex range. Problem is most sites refer to the type of plastic connector as Molex. Didn't know if there was a proper term for the type of connector as I hunted around the Farnell and Maplin websites getting nowhere fast.
