Hello all. Mods, please leave this here a wee shile as it will get more response.

I have a Cobra alarm, model 7925 (if this shouldn't be posted remove ASAP).

As i bought the car with the alarm already on it, i have no user manual and don't know the functions etc. All i know how to d is arm and dis-arm.

My question is this.....sometimes when i set it the alarm beeps for shorter than other times, what i mean is that the beep lasts the same time for the time it takes for the hazards to flash twice.

But other times it only beeps for half this, and other times it don't beep at all, but the indicators still flash,

I know its a cat 1, but other than that i am a tad confused.

I had the same on my old WRX I think. The user manual isn't the most helpful in all honesty and I think it would be best if you actually get in touch with an authorised Cobra dealer and chat about it (pref the place that fitted it) or try searching for the Cobra site.

I never had any probs with the alarm, it always worked spot on every time - didn't bleep, just locked the doors and indicators blinked twice IIRC.

Do you have the mickey mouse alarm button as I like to call it?

i have a 7928/26/hf

and i have the manuel and its not much cop either

what i can tell u is this

if u arm the alarm and press the other button on the remote it should beep, this means u have switched of the ultrasonics (so u can leave the window open


sumtimes, if mine hasnt be armed and i goto start it, when i press the button to disarm the imob it beeps twice then starts

when i switch the ignition of after its been running it beeps twice again, no idea what that means lol

the alarm is great, just would like to know what all the noises and functions are
