Johnny, I will have to check tomorrow but I think we have a Magnex 6x4 Oval exhaust for you at work, which is just lying about... I can see whether or not it will fit your car and if so how much it will cost if you like??

Cheers,
Grant

Marky-San. It was a 2wd Saff that i had, really liked it.
But the Scooby was begging me to buy it.

Grant. Cheers for sorting out that Magnex mate,MEGA bargain price too..a few beers coming your way me thinks.

Pyrocam..you keep quiet about me getting the Magnex. I've told Audrey it comes with an exhaust like that ! I'll pop round once i've fitted it on saturday.

So....what do i buy next ??

No probs Johnny Boy, just finalised the details this morning for getting mine. Pick her up on 2nd May (Only 11 Days). Probably the longest 11 days of my life. Need to scan the pages to get some little bits to enhance her.

Think I'll start with Exhaust, Panel Filter, and to give it that nice Wooosh me thinks a forge dump valve.

Think we're gonna have to start some meetings in Edinburgh by the looks of it.

I'm usually just floating around, dont hang about anywhere, except Kirkaldy with some of the RSOC boys.

Will be out and about in the Scooby as of Saturday though.

What you got Saxo Boy ??

Nothing regular, it requires someone to show a bit of initiative.

I set one up once at the Steading (foot of Hillend) and there was a good turn out including some of the weegies and fifers

Exactly Grant.

Cant help it if they're loud as standard.

Luckily..almost every Scooby she's seen has had a bigger pipe on it..as long as it's not as loud as the Cossie i'll make it out alive !!

Anyone know where i can get a floor mat for the boot ??
Something to keep the dog hairs away ??

Johnny, don't want to put a dampener on things, but listen to the engine when completely cold overnight to check there is no piston slap. This is a known problem on the 98 and you would save yourself incredibly levels of hassle and possibly expense if you ensured this before getting the car. Do a search in Drivetrain forum for details.

John,

I aint that technically minded..but when the car was started from the showroom, it was completely cold, sounded fine, but i'm not sure what it would sound like if it there was something wrong.

Any pointers ??

Johnny,

Sorry for not replying sooner. Bloody bank holidays, noone working, therefore can't get insurance sorted out, can't get my cherished transfer done etc etc etc, pain in the ****.

Anyhow, I'm getting a MY99 Saloon, Deep Mica Blue and she's gonna be sitting with the plate C *** MUR.

I'll be up for some meets once I get her, only 10 days to go.

God you'd think I was desperate to get it.

Meant to say Johnny, Rubber Boot Tray for the dog, I'm sure you can get one at our local friendly penicuik Scooby dealer, think they were about 40 sheets.

Muiry

Kev thats true me old mate.
Think i'm gonna miss that kick in the ar*e when the turbo comes in, you know what it's like !

The Subaru feels a little lame compared to the Cossie, but give it a few weeks and i'll have forgotten all about that..untill i see you flying up Crail, then i'll know i really should've shelled out for a Big T4 and some greys for the Cossie !!

Johnny
