Servicing - South Manchester / Cheshire
Unfortunately the time for my first service is upon me... not a big'n though, phew !
Can you recommend a reliable, trustworthy subaru specialist in the South Manchester / Cheshire area for my pretty standard UK MY98 Turbo ? (preferably someone who will reset my ECU also).
Many Thanks
Ben.

Ben -
Try :-
Prosport,
Unit 18,
Heaton Mersey,
Stockport SK4 3ea
T: 0161 432 9999
They've worked on my own car over the last 3 years, ask to speak to Peter (the boss), and he'll sort you out OK. Let them know I sent you, Peter knows who I am.

I've just spent most of this evening reading through various threads on this forum, and have finally found someone from the same area as myself. I am about to buy a MY99 from a local garage in STOCKPORT, so could I ask where you guys meet up, and is there a club in this area I could come along too?
Thanks,
chris.
Thanks,
chris.

There was a meet, bit of a short one as no-one really knew each other. Everyone got a bit fed-up after their 3rd coke. Someone should organise another maybe, now that the evening are a little longer?
One the servicing side, would servicing at ProSport be OK for the warranty on my MY01? Or do I HAVE to go to an official SUBARU dealer?

almost sure it has to be a Subaru Dealership so as not to invalidate your warranty, though I could be wrong, doesn't it say anything re. this in the Subaru owners manual etc ???

Rasher, i though that it just needed to be done to the manufacturers spec including parts etc (which Pete uses btw
)
I also recommend the use of Prosport
as Pete is very helpful and has a very professional setup
(plus a rolling road
)

IIRC
First year, anywhere using OEM or equivalent parts.
Second and Third offical dealership as it's an extended warranty underwritten by IM.
BUT I remember Pete Croney saying imminent EU regulations would make these restrictive clauses illegal.

Just checked the Service/Warranty booklet, and yes - Subaru dealerships only and it has to be within 1 month/1000 miles (either way!) of stated schedule.
