hi everyone,I have a dash mounted LCD screen and PS2 in my car,seemed a good idea at the time but never use it!!is there anything else I can use this for?
I had 2 ideas i was wondering if anyone else has done

1) is there a DVD disk I could load on PS2 for navagation?
2) is there anything I can plug into engine managment system to bring up settings(boost etc) on the screen

any other ideas welcomed

If your car is MY99-> you can connect an old laptop computer to the ODBII connector, and DeltaDash (http://www.ecutek.com/frame_products.html)will show you lots of useful stuff from the ECU.

i assume with this i would have to boot up pc each time i get in the car?

Yes, you would have to boot the PC everytime, but that shouldn't take too long.

If you put the PC in hibernation mode instead of a complete shutdown, it should be up and running in less than a minute (of course depending on PC/Windows version).
